She is a lifelong enthusiast of faerie, folktales, forests and fauna, especially combined in copious amounts with all-black clothing and some Joy Division or Bauhaus playing in the headphones.

With an experience like no other, Ashley’s first book was written in between the four sterile walls of the NICU. What first started out as poetry to help with her PTSD, the story ended up blossoming into something so much more! Ashley had her oldest son at 30 weeks due to preeclampsia and almost died because of it. When nothing seemed to help with the aftermath of the birth trauma and dealing with a baby staying in the hospital, she turned to writing. She wrote for her therapy but found that sharing this story would give therapy to others. When Ashley is not writing, she is either running, crafting, teaching kid’s yoga, or playing with her kids. She is a wife and a mother to three beautiful children. She plans on writing more books in the future and hopes to someday see her name on a Barnes and Nobles’ bookshelf!
