More Than Just One Day
Book Fair at Bel Air may have started as one big celebration of books, but our mission doesn’t end when the fair does. Our year-round programming creates more opportunities to bring readers, writers, and neighbors together through books, creativity, and shared experiences. From workshops and book clubs to special events and community outreach, we’re building spaces where people can connect, create, discover new stories, and experience the joy of reading all year long.
BFBA brings books, creativity, and community together all year long through five programming arms: BFBA MAKES offers hands-on creative workshops; BFBA READS connects readers through our community book club; BFBA WRITES supports writers through workshops and opportunities to grow their craft; BFBA CARES brings books and literacy into the wider community through outreach and giving; and BFBA After Dark creates fun, genre-inspired events for adult readers.

BFBA MAKES
BFBA MAKES brings books and creativity together through affordable hands-on workshops for our community. From bookish art and seasonal crafts to creative experiences inspired by the stories we love, these workshops are a chance to try something new, make something fun, and connect with fellow readers and makers.

BFBA READS
BFBA READS keeps our community reading together all year long. Our book club creates a welcoming space for readers to discover new stories, share their thoughts, and connect with one another with plenty of opportunities to explore books and authors connected to Book Fair at Bel Air. Each month will be lead by a different member of the BFBA community through our Discord channel. All meetings are held virtually, so readers can participate from anywhere. BFBA WRITES
BFBA WRITES is for the storytellers in our community, whether they’re just beginning to put words on the page or looking to strengthen their craft. Through affordable workshops, educational opportunities, and community programming, we aim to give writers the tools, encouragement, and connections they need.
BFBA CARES
BFBA CARES takes our love of books beyond our own events and puts it to work in the community. Through book access initiatives, partnerships, charitable programs, and other outreach efforts, we work to get more books into more hands and use literacy as a way to support and strengthen our neighbors.

BFBA After Dark
BFBA After Dark is where books become an experience. Designed for adult readers, these special events celebrate beloved genres through themed activities, community, and plenty of bookish fun. From romance to fantasy and beyond, each event gives readers a new way to step into the kinds of stories they love.
